INITIATIVES
The employment unit engaged in the following broad outreach initiatives in accordance with various elements of FCC Rule 73.2080(c)(2):

Participated in events sponsored by organizations representing groups present in the community interested in broadcast employment issues, including conventions, career days, workshops, and similar activities. |
On March 29, 2007, Qantum’s Promotions Director directed a seminar at The Career Day Workshop at Dennis Yarmouth High School. On April 7, 2007, nearly ½ the Qantum staff participated the Cape Cod Community College/WKKL 3rd Annual Radio Conference. On May 3, 2007, several Qantum staff members attended the Cape Cod School to Careers Partnership Employer breakfast agenda. On November 14, 2007, Qantum’s Director of Operations and a member of the "Technology Council", attended the Cape Cod Regional Tech "Tech Night". |

Established an internship program designed to assist members of the community to acquire skills needed for broadcast employment. |
Qantum hosted 10 students from the following Colleges and Cape Cod High Schools during the year: Barnstable High School-2 students-1 credit* Dennis Yarmouth High School-1 student-1 credit* |

On September 7, 2007, Qantum’s Director of Operations was a guest teacher at Cape Cod Community College/Radio Broadcasting Class. On September 21, 2007, Qantum’s Director of Operations was a guest teacher at Cape Cod Community College/Radio Broadcasting Class. On October 11, 2007, Qantum’s Director of Operations was a guest teacher at Cape Cod Community College/Radio Broadcasting Class.
